Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of iRate Cars, operated by Israel Montano. By using the service, you agree to these Terms.

Use the service safely

Do not interact with the app in a manner that distracts you while driving. Follow traffic, hands-free, photography, and device-use laws. No feature is an instruction to observe, follow, confront, photograph, or investigate a person or vehicle.

Permitted content

Submit honest, first-hand observations about vehicle behavior, parking, or vehicle appearance. Ratings are opinions and community reports, not verified findings, official records, ownership information, insurance information, or legal determinations.

Prohibited conduct

• No names, addresses, contact information, workplaces, precise sighting locations, or attempts to identify a vehicle owner or occupant.
• No threats, harassment, hate speech, stalking, retaliation, defamation, unlawful content, impersonation, spam, manipulation, or coordinated targeting.
• No false reports presented as fact, automated submissions, interference with the service, unauthorized access, or evasion of moderation.
• No unlawful or unsafe photography and no content that infringes privacy, intellectual-property, or other rights.

Moderation

We may review, restrict, hide, remove, de-identify, or preserve content; restrict or suspend accounts; and cooperate with valid legal requests. Reports enter a private moderator queue, and moderator decisions are recorded in an audit log. We do not guarantee removal or that all user content is accurate.

Subscriptions

iRate Plus subscriptions are processed by Apple, renew automatically unless canceled through your Apple Account, and are subject to the price and period shown before purchase. Benefits apply while Apple reports an active entitlement. Refunds are handled under Apple’s policies and applicable law.

No ownership lookup

iRate Cars does not identify registered owners and should not be used for background checks, insurance eligibility, credit, employment, housing, law enforcement, surveillance, or decisions affecting a person’s rights or access to services.

Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis to the extent permitted by law. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability or the accuracy of user content. To the extent permitted by law, Israel Montano and iRate Cars will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from use of the service.

Changes and termination

We may change or discontinue features and update these Terms. You may stop using the service at any time and may permanently delete your account from Settings. See the Data & Content Removal policy. Provisions that by their nature should survive will continue after termination.
